PROJECT LEADER (8-12+ YEARS EXPERIENCE)

The Project Leader should be client focused and experienced in all aspects of the design and delivery process. The successful candidate will lead projects with a balance of design sensitivity, technical expertise, and operational control, ensuring a high-touch client experience while maintaining accountability for execution and outcomes.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS
Manage the Client relationship throughout the duration of the project
• Ensure prompt (within 24 hour) communication and responsiveness
• Lead client meetings with clarity and confidence
• Plan, establish, and meet deadlines with Clients
• Troubleshoot and resolve client concerns proactively
• Guide clients through decision making while maintaining design direction
• Lead a team in preparing presentations and deliverables

PROJECT LEADERSHIP
• Lead multiple projects from concept through installation
• Maintain ownership of project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Drive weekly project tracking and accountability across team members
• Anticipate and resolve issues before they impact schedule or design
• Ensure alignment between design intent, documentation, and execution
• Maintain full visibility on all project moving parts

TEAM MANAGEMENT
• Lead and manage internal design teams across multiple projects
• Delegate work clearly and ensure accountability for deadlines and quality
• Mentor and develop team members through active project involvement
• Identify gaps in performance and address proactively
• Coordinate workload and support team efficiency

DESIGN
• Carry a project from initial conceptual meeting through final installation
• Lead a team to formulate design presentations, preliminary space plans, and concept studies
• Oversee design development to ensure alignment with CDD standards
• Source and suggest furniture, fabrics, materials, and finishes
• Oversee FF&E selections, concepting, and integration into overall design
• Ensure design intent is maintained throughout all phases of the project

TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION
• Lead a team to produce and review scaled floor plans, elevations, details, and reflected ceiling plans
• Oversee furniture plans, shop drawings, and material and finish schedules in Revit and AutoCAD
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of construction documentation
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and fabricators throughout the build process
• Conduct site visits and in-person inspections as required

PROCUREMENT + EDUCATION
• Oversee FF&E budgets, pricing, and purchasing processes
• Track orders, lead times, and delivery schedules
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely execution
• Manage installation process and final project completion
• Ensure all items are delivered and installed in alignment with project schedule

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Develop and manage detailed project timelines
• Create and maintain weekly project dashboards for all assigned projects
• Identify team demand and capacity risks
• Schedule and lead internal design and coordination meetings
• Track financial performance and project progress
• Follow up on outstanding items and ensure closure

SOURCING
• Maintain strong knowledge of high-end architectural materials, furniture, fixtures, accessories, and fabric vendors
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and showrooms
• Source unique and appropriate materials aligned with project vision
• Stay current with market trends, new products, and innovations

POSITION CONTEXT
• Reports to Studio Director / Principal
• Works closely with Senior Designers and Design Team
• Responsible for project outcomes, team performance, and execution quality
• Plays a critical role in scaling the studio and maintaining design standards

Junior Designer (2+ YEARS EXPERIENCE)

The Junior Designer should be client focused and experienced in all aspects of the design process. The successful candidate should be able to integrate creativity with a business mindset and focus on a high-touch client experience. Junior Designers must be a proactive problem solver who can work well independently, and on a team, while facing tight deadlines.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS
Assist Senior Designer with managing the Client relationship
• Ensure prompt (within 24 hour) communications and replies to Clients
• Ability to plan, establish and meet deadlines with Clients
• Immediately escalate Client concerns to the Senior DesignerPROJECT LEADERSHIP
• Lead multiple projects from concept through installation
• Maintain ownership of project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Drive weekly project tracking and accountability across team members
• Anticipate and resolve issues before they impact schedule or design
• Ensure alignment between design intent, documentation, and execution
• Maintain full visibility on all project moving parts

DESIGN
• Formulate design presentations, preliminary space plans and 2D or 3D design concept studies and sketches based on guidance from Senior Designers
• Document floor plans, elevations, details, reflected ceiling plans, furniture plans, shop drawings, materials, and finish schedules 
• Ability to field measure and document existing building conditions 
• Prepare specifications and schedules with accurate product information for furniture, plumbing, appliances, lighting and finishes 
• Source and suggest furniture, fabric, etc. for Senior Designer approval
• Provide design support and documentation throughout all design phases
• Assisting in FF&E selections and interior design concepting
• Assisting in FF&E budgeting and management
• Generating Presentation content and presenting to internal team

DESIGN
• Understanding and knowledge of leading high-end architectural materials, furniture, fixtures, accessory and fabric dealers
• Ability to source vendors and pricing 
• Document specifications for Project Managers to purchase and bill Clients
• Estimate materials and preliminary costs

INSTALLATION
• Manage, track, and install furnishings for several projects with overlapping deadlines 
• Site visits as needed and assist Senior Designers with management of on-site builders or trades
• Ensure the quality of all facets of the installed project
• Independently problem solve as needed, keep the Senior Designer and project team informed

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor Degree from a 4 year accredited Interior Design program or equivalent
• 2-5 years experience; Residential, Hospitality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience running multiple client-facing projects (2+ years)
• Attention to detail/accuracy 
• MS Office Suite proficiency 
• Proficient with InDesign
• AutoCAD proficiency required (Revit and SketchUp a plus)
• Strong organizational skills are essential
• Must be proactive
• Architecture, design or construction company experience preferred (2+ years)
• Experience with Studio Designer software is a plus
